Policies

Cancellations & Rescheduling Policy: 

We require at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Appointments cancelled, rescheduled, or missed will result in a 50% charge of the scheduled service(s) to the card on file. Same-day rescheduling is allowed without penalty, but is based on availability. 


*This policy still applies to sickness/COVID, card trouble, or unexpected incidents. We understand that sickness and things can occur suddenly or unexpectedly, however this policy is in place to protect the business and our time.*


Late Arrivals Policy: 

If you are running late, please text (623)-414-6592 or call and leave a voicemail with your name, appointment time, and reason for running late. We have a 15 minute grace period for all appointments, anything after 15 minutes will have to be rescheduled and is subject to a 50% charge of the scheduled service(s). We will do our best to accommodate you if we are able to. 


By Appointment Only & Booking Online

All appointments at The Skintechnician are by appointment only. For your convenience online scheduling has been included on this website. All of our appointments will need to be booked online with Vagaro, our booking site, or in the room after a service with your technician. Please do not reach out to us via text or attempt to call our number to book an appointment, unless you an established client who is needing help re-booking. 


Order Pick Ups & Restocking Fee:

Orders need to be picked up within 90-days, if your order is not picked up within 90-days it will be restocked and subject to a restocking fee - 20% of the original transaction charge. The remaining balance, after the fee, may be applied as store credit. No refunds will be issued for unclaimed orders. If an order was purchased online or in-person using affirm, an additional 6% fee will be taken, based on the original transaction charge.


Refund Policy:

All service charges, membership charges, retail items, and gift cards sales are final. All of our packages, auto-pay, gift cards, Groupon's are non-transferable to others, and cannot be combined with other discount offers.


Children Policy:

To ensure a relaxing and safe environment for all guests, our studio is designed for adults only. The studio has a no children policy unless they are receiving a treatment, teen facial. Please make other arrangements for childcare before your appointment. 


Teen Facial Policy:

Consent paperwork must be signed prior to an appointment by a parent (mom or dad) or legal guardian. Children under the age of 17 are required to book a teen facial, and are unable to receive massage or certain add-ons. 


Photo Consent Policy: 

Before and after pictures of videos may be taken during facial services for the purpose of documenting treatment progress and maintaining accurate client records.By signing the consent form you give permission for The Skintechnician to post any photos or videos taken before, during, and after the services performed on me to its social media sites including its website, google profile, Vagaro, Instagram,  Facebook and any other social media platforms.


*Photography is voluntary and declining will not affect services received.*


Menstrual Cycle Policy: 

You can be waxed while on your cycle (tampon or menstrual cup required). If you prefer not to, please reschedule your appointments accordingly to avoid late cancellations. 


Groupon Vouchers Policy:

Limit 1 Groupon per new client, regardless of how many are purchased. We are unable to adjust Groupons verbiage and apologize for any confusion if additional vouchers are purchased. You are required to book your appointment online, for only the service purchased, and provide your voucher number in the promo-code section on the general consent form (towards the end of the form above your signature, #24) and provide a valid credit/debit card per the no-show/24 hour cancellation policy for the studio, no exceptions. You wont be charged anything unless the Cancellation & Rescheduling or Late Arrivals policies are violated. If we are unable to charge your debit/credit card on file per our policy, we will redeem your voucher to cover the no-show/cancellation charge. We do not accept expired vouchers. 


*Groupon clients are unable to book any week day appointment past 4pm. Vouchers must be used during the day time or afternoon during the week.*


Groupon Q&A

Why do we only accept one voucher per new client? 

The intent of a Groupon is to discover new businesses and try their services to see if you would like to return at a regular price, not to continue to use an ongoing discount. Please do not attempt to use more than one voucher, you will be charged regular price following your initial voucher use.


Am I able to swap my voucher or use the value of my voucher for another service(s) I am interested in? 

No, vouchers much be applied for the service purchase and are not able to be used towards other services on our menu. 


Am I able to use my expired voucher?

No, we do not accept expired vouchers. Even though Groupon mentions the purchase value never expires, it doesn't with Groupon. Please reach out to Groupon and they will give you credit to purchase something new or Groupon bucks with them.

The current health crisis is an example of why spa, salon, and wellness professionals are licensed and that their workplaces are heavily regulated and inspected.  Not only during this pandemic, but each and every single day, for every individual client, your professionals are precautious and vigilant.  This industry is arguably one of the best prepared industries for dealing with infection control and providing top notch safety to clients and staff.  In addition to the practices that we have always followed for infection prevention and control, we have gathered improved ways of servicing clients that are safer for everyone inside of the spa.  We not only want you to feel relaxed, but safe and protected while receiving world class services. We understand your concerns and have outdone ourselves in preparing our business for you!  The safety of our staff and clients is essential to us.


What we are doing

  • Staff are required to wear face masks covering mouth and nose.
  • Disinfection protocols are meeting or exceeding all state, local and regulatory guidelines relating to sanitation and hygiene. All disinfectants used at The Skintechnician are verified to ensure they meet the EPA’s criteria for use against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.
  • Educating and thoroughly training staff on enhanced protocols and procedures.
  • Keeping a well-stocked environment with hand soap and alcohol-based hand sanitizer to encourage healthful habits.

What you can do

  • Stay Home if you are not well.
  • Follow our “hands off” practices – no shaking hands, hugging, or touching your face.
  • Guests are highly encouraged to wear face masks while in public indoor and outdoor areas, except during selected services, even if fully vaccinated.
